In Mexico we define two classifications when processing Visas for intern, the one refers to: The Complete Name of the Visa when is arranged is FM3 Student Visitor with non lucrative activities. It means that the Intern can come legally to the Country through AIESEC Internship program because the Immigration Authorities consider AIESEC as Educational Organization, however the Intern SHOULD NOT say that it is a Paid job, or that is a Professional Experience, because the activities provided by AIESEC is Learning and Acquiring Practical Experiences in side the Organization that provides the opportunity. |
The terms that the Interns have to use in embassies:
Intern Salary = Monthly Stipend arranged by AIESEC = Beca Mensual proporcionada por AIESEC.
Internship = International Internship = Práctica Profesional sin fines de Lucro.
The working permits is never asked. Because the Immigration Authority would cancel the visa and will Audit AIESEC and the Organisation. So far the relationship with the Government is that AIESEC provides learning experiences through their Organisations.
The inter is the one who stands for the Legal Relationship with AIESEC, and not with the Organisation, so far the Intern doesn’t stands for any legal relationship with the Inter, because is not added to the payroll and has not Tax deduction, the Exchange Program works under Student Program where the student cover all the Expenses, Insurance, Visa, housing.
